Rangoli Ritual Art - Wednesday 7th October 2015

This week Sensory and Visual Arts groups combined and used coloured sand to create images as a response to sounds, ritualised movement and textures.

Annie's picture had layers of sand sprinkled on the base and using paper cones she drew fine lines over the top with other coloured sands, to create this beautiful image.

A fine layer of sand  was drawn through using fingers.

Jon used lots of different methods to build up his sand picture. He brushed the sand and drew through the sand.

 He sprinkled the sand.

Everyone had different ideas on how to use the sand.

Paul used his fingers to draw through the sand and tapped along with the music.

People used charcoal on long sticks to respond to the silhouettes of people moving behind the screens.
