Designs with lines and squares - Wednesday 23rd September 2015

Temporary designs were made in a ritual way taking turns to place each stick or square of paper, considering where to place each new piece.

Each stick was placed one at a time so that they touched and formed a long path along the tables.

 The pattern grows into a more complicated form.

This is the finished design running the whole length of the tables.

Introducing another element to choose from, different sized squares of paper or black sticks were placed one after another.

Howard very carefully positions the next stick, making sure it touches another part of the design.

The finished design grows from a complicated start to a much more open and simple finish.
