Positive and negative spaces, group composition - Wednesday 9th September 2015

Continuing with the idea of placing squares over a large piece of paper and painting round them, then working into the blank spaces when the squares were removed.

Positive and Negative Space - group composition 29 July 2015

A small group today. Annie, Jenny and Caroline creating the artwork and Andrea documenting. 

We began by creating positive and negative spaces by arranging and re-arranging squares of card onto the cartridge paper, seeing the tension of the dynamics between the grey squares.

Folding Rituals, Wednesday 22 July 2015

The morning and afternoon groups worked with watercolour inks and by folding paper to paint and print an image that left the marks of how it was created as the ink gathered in the folds.

A Visit from 'Outside In' - Wednesday 15th July 2015

Outside In joined us to help people put their work into an on-line gallery website.

Roger working with Outside In to upload photographs of his work onto their website, he now has his own gallery page.

Overlapping group drawings - Wednesday 9th July 2015

The group worked together drawing across the paper with oil pastels, people could move around the picture and overlap each others work. Acrylic paints were used to fill in spaces and paint over the top of the drawing.
